On November 29, 2024, Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company officially announced the Top 10 prestigious companies in the Logistics industry in 2024. In which, in the freight transport industry group, PVTrans and 4 member companies of PVTrans were recorded.
Top 10 Reputable Logistics Companies in 2024 include the following categories: Top 10 International Freight Forwarding, Warehousing, 3rd and 4th Party Logistics Services; Top 10 Freight Transport Industry; Top 10 Port Operation Industry; Top 10 Express Delivery, Last-mile Delivery Industry. In which, in the Top 10 Reputable Logistics Companies in 2024 – Freight Transport Industry, the presence of PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PV Trans) and 4 member companies are Pacific Petroleum Transportation Joint Stock Company (PVTrans Pacific), Nhat Viet Transportation Joint Stock Company (NVTrans), Gas Shipping Joint Stock Company, Phuong Dong Viet Transportation and Logistics Joint Stock Company (PVT Logistics).
Top 10 Reputable Logistics Companies is the result of an independent research by Vietnam Report published since 2017. Companies are evaluated and ranked based on scientific and objective principles with three main criteria: Financial capacity shown in the most recent financial report; Media reputation is assessed using the Media Coding method – encoding articles about the company on influential media channels; Survey of research subjects and stakeholders is updated in November 2024. According to a survey by Vietnam Report, in 2024, logistics enterprises assessed that there are 5 outstanding difficulties in the industry, including: Economic and political instability in the world (82.4%), Competition between businesses in the same industry (76.5%), Slow growth of the world economy (58.8%), Legal barriers and administrative procedures (45.3%), Labor does not meet the quantity/quality requirements (35.3%).
However, in general, in 2024, Vietnam’s logistics industry will witness a strong recovery, thanks to export growth and supportive factors from the Government as well as improvements in the global supply chain. The export recovery has led to positive growth in the logistics industry. The total volume of goods transported through seaports is estimated to increase by about 14% in the first 10 months of 2024, reaching over 570 million tons. With the recovery momentum in 2024, the logistics business community is optimistic about the prospects for 2025.
Vietnam’s logistics industry is making important changes thanks to the support and companionship from the Government. 2024 is identified as the decisive year in the action plan to improve the competitiveness of logistics services according to Decision No. 221/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. At the same time, this is an important preparation step for the Logistics Services Development Strategy for the period 2025-2035, with a vision to 2050, aiming to turn logistics into a spearhead service industry, enhancing national competitiveness. The Government also promotes key projects of the transport sector, focusing on connecting and developing synchronous logistics infrastructure, helping to improve the efficiency of domestic and international transport.
The ceremony to announce and honor typical enterprises in the Top 10 prestigious Logistics companies in 2024 in various industry groups is expected to take place in January 2025 in Hanoi.
