On the morning of October 17, 2025, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company (HAH) officially received the 18th container ship named HAIAN IRIS. This is an important step in the strategy of expanding the fleet, improving transport capacity and strengthening Hai An’s position in the sea container transport market.
HAIAN IRIS, formerly known as Optima, was built in 2011 at Kyokuyo Shipbuilding – Japan. The ship is flagged by Bahamas, IMO number: 9609419, carrying capacity of 1,100 Teu, 146.03m long, 22.5m wide, 11.4m high, draft of 8.2m. After being handed over, HAIAN IRIS will fly the Vietnamese flag, carry dual-class NK (Japan) and VR registration, and be operated by HAI AN LINES. After successfully receiving HAIAN IRIS, the Company’s fleet has increased to 18 ships, with a capacity of 800 – 3,500 Teu, with a total capacity of 29,300 Teu.
According to plan, the HAIAN IRIS ship will operate its first route on October 22, 2025, with the schedule Hai Phong – Lianyungang (China)
