According to the 2025 annual report, in the 2025 business plan, Vinaship selected the shipping market scenario on the basis of BDI reaching 1,600 – 2,000 points, and handysize size index (BHSI) reaching 600 – 700 points. All ships have business targets built according to the corresponding TCE and OPS cost frameworks.
Vinaship‘s dry cargo fleet in 2025 is expected to include 05 ships with a total tonnage of 100,106 DWT, the average age is 21.5 years old, the operating time in 2025 of the 5 existing ships is 12 months. VNA said that the fleet plan will add 2 more used dry cargo ships, with a tonnage of 30,000 – 35,000 DWT in 2025. Of which, 1 ship is expected to be invested in in the second half of the second quarter of 2025 and 1 ship is expected to be invested in at the end of December 2025 and early January 2026 if conditions are favorable (temporarily, the exploitation targets of the company have not been recorded).
VNA plans to sell and liquidate the Vinaship Pearl before December 31, 2025 with an estimated liquidation value of about 60 billion VND, so the operating results of this ship are expected to be recorded for 12 months. Based on the internal factors of the business and external factors, based on the market scenario, VNA sets a target of 2025 with a total shipping output of 1.6 million tons, total revenue reached more than 701 billion VND, down 4% compared to the previous year, but pre-tax profit reached 117.5 billion VND, up 43%.
Regarding medium and long-term development plans, VNA will continue to focus on the goal of maintaining stable fleet operations and completing annual plan targets. At the same time, maintain the transportation of a number of commodity groups such as cement, clinker, coal, agricultural products, fertilizers, flexibly combine rental forms (trips, COA, long-term, fixed-term trips…), combine company ships and outsourced ships when implementing transportation contracts, increase the scale and improve the quality of outsourcing activities. In 2024, VNA will achieve total revenue of 730.6 billion VND, completing 116.24% of the year’s plan; Total profit before tax reached 82.2 billion VND, completing 141.82% of the year’s plan.
