On the afternoon of August 3, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company held a launching ceremony for a 45,000 DWT cargo ship, design symbol VB45-01, named “Truong Minh Dream 05“. This is a proud achievement of the shipbuilding capacity of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company, and demonstrates innovation and sustainability in Vietnam’s maritime industry.
The 45,000 DWT bulk cargo ship has an overall length of 185 m, a width of 31 m, and a beam height of 16 m. This is a single-sided, double-bottomed bulk carrier powered by a diesel engine and single propeller in accordance with updated regulations approved by Lloyd’s Register.Ship line with a modern design and the most superiority in resistance, exhaust quality and fuel consumption efficiency, saving about 30% compared to current equivalent ships. The unladen weight of the ship has been reduced to an optimal level. The ship is equipped with the most modern equipment, meeting the strict conditions of port authorities in the US, Europe and Australia…
Last July 2024, the Ha Long Shipbuilding Company continued to sign with customers Damen series of 6 CSOV wind power service ships, bringing the total number of CSOV ships signed with Damen to 14 ships, complying with the requirements of the DNV Registry.The first wind power service ship in the series will be launched on August 28, 2024 and delivered in March 2025. The delivery schedule of the ships is every 3 months, the last ship in the series is expected to be delivered in May 2028.
On August 15, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company will start cutting plating for a 120m passenger ship. This is cruise ship number 3 in a series of ocean-going passenger ships built for the Australian Scenic Tour Company. And the two companies are expected to continue signing the contract for ship No. 04 in December 2024. With the quality of construction of 02 110m passenger ships that were handed over and put into use previously, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company has received very positive reviews from international customers and ship owners regarding the quality of use, quality and aesthetics of the product.
Immediately after the successful launching ceremony of 45,000 DWT cargo ship No1, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company signed the launching record and laid the keel of 45,000 DWT cargo ship No2.
In parallel with stabilizing production and promoting the search for new orders, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company is still seriously implementing Resolution 220/NQ-CP of the Government. We have been rearranging the organizational and management structure to ensure efficiency and compliance with restructuring goals, while optimizing production processes, reducing waste and improving quality, product quantity.
