Immediately after being received, the Hai Phong Gas ship was put into operation in the Asia-Pacific region. Receiving the Hai Phong Gas vessel is part of PVTrans’s strategy to continue expanding the fleet size, marking an important step forward in the vehicle investment plan, increasing the transport scale of PVTrans in general and Gas Shipping in particular. in 2024. This is also a premise to help businesses accelerate the development of LPG transport market share in the international market in the following years”, PVTrans emphasized.
Up to now, PVTrans owns and manages 55 ships, with a variety of types from crude oil ships, product oil ships, oil/chemical ships, LPG ships and bulk cargo ships with a total fleet tonnage of over 1.5 million DWT, more than 85% of the fleet is serving the international market.
In addition, regarding Gas Shipping, this unit is mainly operating in the field of operating LPG tankers and oil/chemical ships with 9 ships including 2 oil/chemical ships and 7 LPG ships. In addition, Gas Shipping also charters 2-3 additional ships to support LPG transportation depending on the market situation. In terms of business results in the first 8 months of 2024, Gas Shipping has revenue of 1,515 billion VND, exceeding the plan for the first 8 months of the year by 31%, and completing 87% of the year plan; Pre-tax profit reached over 94 billion VND, exceeding 20% of the assigned plan and completing 90% of the year plan.
