On October 22, 2025, at Fujairah port (UAE), Southern Petroleum Transportation Joint Stock Company (PVTrans SPT) – a member unit of PVTrans Corporation successfully received the SPT Themis, a product oil tanker with a capacity of 50,286 DWT. Immediately after completing the handover procedures, the ship was put into international operation under a time charter form, demonstrating the Company’s initiative in investment, preparation of all technical and safety aspects, crew arrangement and commercial operation.

Receiving the SPT Themis vessel contributes to increasing the size of the PVTrans SPT fleet to 06 vessels (03 MR vessels and 03 J19 vessels) with a total tonnage of more than 200,000 DWT, operating stably in markets with high technical and safety requirements. The vessel is designed to IMO II standards, allowing flexible transportation of many types of product oil and chemicals, and has operational technical characteristics that meet the trend of energy saving and emission reduction in the modern maritime transport industry.

In the context of stable demand for transporting oil products and chemicals, PVTrans SPT’s investment in the SPT Themis vessel not only helps the unit increase its transport capacity, optimize its fleet structure and improve operational efficiency, but also contributes significantly to strengthening the overall competitiveness of PVTrans with a fleet of up to 62 vessels, with a total tonnage of more than 1.8 million DWT. Through the expansion of the fleet at each member unit, PVTrans is gradually perfecting its core transport capacity, building a modern and diverse fleet, thereby improving flexibility and the ability to meet the increasingly demanding transport needs of customers.
